Johnstone Strait is the first big step to the north coast.  Everything seems much further apart and weather becomes a major factor.

Boaters tend to take this part of the coast in short hops by stopping at several anchorages along the way.  Few of them realize what they are missing at these anchorages.  The routes past Chatham Point or Greene Point Rapids are both lined with Pictographs, Forward Harbour presents Petroglyphs and possible Bear watching, Port Neville has both Pictographs and Petroglyphs and Port Harvey has Pictographs.
